How do you walk the talk ? Well just talk the walk
Being active entire day (~10K steps) burns more calories than 1 hour of gym workout! But it is so freaking hard to manage 10K with our sedentary jobs and meetings and chores!
Every day consistency leads to a good week to a good month and to a great year !!
How do I do it?? Here I am sharing my top tips that have been helping me hit 12-15K each day from the last 2-3 years!
It might take time, but work on becoming a movement opportunist, look for opportunities to move more, burn more!
- Carry your groceries back home
- Walk upto the society grocery store instead of ordering online
- Make your walk the most enjoyable time of your day, listen to your fav podcast/music/phone a friend/catch up with fam bam!
- Meet your friends for “walk pe charcha”
- Do your chores yourself, pick up – fold the laundry, water the plants
- Instead of worrying about hitting 10K mark, break it down into achievable smaller targets like walking for 5 mins every 30 mins
- Wake up 10 mins earlier, finish your lunch 10 mins sooner n step out to soak in some Sun!
